Het Taiwanese D-Link is het niet eens met de Amerikaanse Federal Trade Commission (FTC) die vindt dat het onvoldoende aandacht voor security heeft in haar producten.

De FTC meent dat D-Link de routers en camera's die het verkoopt aan consumenten en bedrijven niet afdoende beveiligt tegen mogelijke inbraken door hackers. Een stevige claim die volgens D-Link niet klopt. Het bedrijf heeft het in een statement over "beschuldigingen die niet op feiten gebaseerd zijn" en is vast van plan om de beschuldigingen te weerleggen. D-Link wijst de consumentenwaakhond er ook op dat niet aangetoond is dat consumenten ook effectieve schade ondervonden hebben.
