Microsoft koopt Cycle Computing
Microsoft koopt voor een onbekend bedrag Cycle Computing, specialist in cloud orchestration voor high performance computing (HPC) omgevingen.
Cycle Computing biedt CycleCloud functies zoals cloud configuratie, provisioning en optimalisatie workflow software waarmee organisaties kunnen migereren naar high performance cloud omgevingen zoals Microsoft Azure en AWS. Cycle Computing heeft een kantoor in het Anerikaanse Stamford, in de staat Connecticut.
Cloud
Microsoft wil met zijn deze overname zijn Azure cloud platform verrijken met interessante functies. Hierdoor wil het beter concurreren met AWS. Microsoft werkt daarbij met diverse partners zoals met het HashiCorp Terraform infrastructure management software die nauw integreert met het Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
